SMASH BRO’Z NEED YOUR HELP!!!

Hey, this is Dre here – I’m hijacking this blog for a while to hit everybody up with the latest info on the Smash Bro’z Hip Hop Collective.  For those of you who don’t know already – The smash Bro’z were hard at work  fundraising to go to Las Vegas and compete at the World Hip Hop Championships 2009 against 50+ other countries. Now, unfortunately that time round we couldn’t make it happen, but this year is going to be different – you wanna know why?
It’s because we’re: another year older, another year wiser and another year STRONGER!!!

In the words of Michael Jackson – himself R.I.P – “THIS IS IT”!

This year we were successful in winning the “Battle Of The Shires 2010 – Midlands Qualifier” cementing a place straight into the UK Hip Hop Championship Final – not to mention gaining a 1st place rank in the preliminary round of the UK Hip Hop championship – first time round and then securing a first place victory overall – taking the gold by the end of the night. Smash Bro’z have made history being the first and only group from Birmingham so far to: make it to the UK Hip Hop Championship Finals, qualify for the World Hip Hop Championships each time they’ve entered and also won the UK Hip Hop Championships.  Having said this, second place was awarded to Peridot and Status clenched a solid third. All three groups have now qualified to fly out to Las Vegas to compete in the World Hip Hop Championships, this summer.

Now, this is where we need your help. We need your help/support/ kind + generous donations in making this possible. As a group we are not only representing Birmingham and the Midlands but also the United Kingdom. Throughout the following months, we will be holding various events/workshops/classes/promo’s/busking/you name it, in order to raise our target amount of £7,000.

So Please, if you would like to help us in some way, or have any information that would also benefit us, then please either post a reply on this blog or email: Kashmir on knyne@bboysattic.com

Thank you. “This Is It”.

I’m going to leave you with a video clip of our first place performance at the UK Hip Hop championships – Preliminary Round. Thank you to everyone involved with making the competition happen in the first place and well done to all the dancers that have entered.

This is Dre. Peace.
